World-renowned Artist Bob Pejmanwill to make a Rare Personal Appearance at the North Star Art Gallery on Saturday, November 5

Freehold, NJ -- October 9, 2006 -- World-renowned artist returns to New Jersey. Bob Pejman, who lived in New Jersey from 1976 until earlier this year will be making a rare personal appearance at the North Star Art Gallery on Saturday, November 5, 2006.

Mr. Pejman has received national and international acclaim for his works, which can best be described as romantic realism. Utilizing the almost forgotten techniques of old masters such as Michelangelo and Rafael he skillfully blends impressionistic colors and techniques to achieve a classical but yet contemporary style.

In his work, Pejman creates idyllic, tranquil worlds. “There are no people in my paintings, so you can imagine yourself in the scenes”, explains the artist. “ The scenes are already romantic, but my idea is to make them even more so”. In doing so, he pushes the colors to make them more intense and exaggerates the sunlight. “I don’t simplify the shapes. You get into the cracks and feel the structures and stones”, he says. There is romance in history, and Pejman reminds the viewer of classic beauty and emotions that transcend time.

The public is invited to this special event to experience this rare opportunity to meet and visit with Bob Pejman. For more information, please contact the North Star Art Gallery at 732-294-1777 or visit www.northstar-gallery.com . The North Star Gallery is located on the second level of the Freehold Raceway Mall near Nordstrom’s.
