Pitmasters from around the country will be donating their time and BBQ to a non-profit dedicated NYC parks. This Saturday and Sunday (June 7&8)the 6th Annual Big Apple Block Party will take place in New York City, from 12noon-6pm @ Madison Square Park in the city.

The only Northeast Pitmaster invited to cook is Ed Wilson owner of Wilsons BBQ located in Fairfield, CT. Ed has been donating his time to this event since the begining 6 years ago.  When in two days of rain they served a total of 14 thousand new yorkers. This year they anticipate upwards of 100,000.

Ed has competed in the Jack Daniels National Invitational, Memphis in May, American Roayl, New England Regional Championship, Maryland State Championship. He sits on the Board of Directors of the National BBQ Association and New England BBQ Society. A kansas city Barbecue Society certified Judge. His Carolina Vinegar sauce won the "Award of Excellence" at the NBBQA annual convention.
