Chandler will respond to the Waka Waka - official dance of the World Cup Sat. June 26, 2010 when 100's of Chandler residences are scheduled to voice their support for Global Education. "We are looking for as many people as possible to dance on behalf of the 1GOAL website initiative which promotes education around the world." Explains Tammi Jacobs, website Waka Waka Program Organizer.
The "Hips Don't Lie" singer's new single is inspired by an African-style dance, which she wants fans to dance to in support of the campaign 1Goal for universal education. The mission is simple: practice your dance moves, record your best "Waka Waka" performance, and post your video at Youtube.com/shakirawakawaka.

"The song is playful and the lyrics are positive and appeal to a universal audience. The choreography is energetic yet simple so everyone can participate." Jacobs blog assures. "and the more the merrier."
People throughout the world have already begun uploading their videos, even FC Barcelona, the newly-crowned champions of the Spanish League, danced the Waka Waka last night during their celebrations. So, do you accept the challenge?
Join in and let's all dance for education: 1 song, 1 dance, 1GOAL! Arizonans for 1GOAL will meet at San Tan Jr. High at 2:00 pm Sat., June 26, 2010 to practice and rehearse the "Waka Waka" choreography and the actual recording of the dance will be at 2:30 pm.
