Manassas, VA – Oct. 10, 2007 – On Friday, October 12, 2007, Jeanette Rishell, candidate for the House of Delegates, will outline her position on predatory payday lending. Jeanette will be joined by another senior member of the Virginia Legislature, industry whistleblowers, and other experts on this issue.

When: Friday, October 12, 2007, at 2PM

Old Manassas Courthouse, 9248 Lee Avenue, Manassas, VA – on the lawn of the Old Manassas Courthouse building.

Who: Payday Lending Whistleblowers, Community Activists, Jeanette Rishell, Democratic candidate for the House of Delegates 50th district, and another high-ranking member of the Virginia legislature.

Details: Payday lending ravages our community, by trapping borrowers in a cycle of debt from which they cannot easily escape. Industry insiders will “tell all” about the corrupt business practices of this industry in Virginia. Community Activists and Leaders will be on hand to share information about payday lending, and Jeanette Rishell (candidate for the 50th district of the Virginia House of Delegates) will outline her position on this important issue.
