The site comprises resources, links, information, galleries, bios of artists, a social networking zone powered by Ning (www.ning.com ) and a shopping catalog powered with Amazon technology (www.amazonservices.com/webstore ).
The site hopes to connect emerging artists to interior designers and collectors. It features the work of established artists also as a draw to attract meaningful traffic to the site. The venture also sponsors the cause of certain charity organizations (501 c3) from time to time as it hopes to fulfill a societal mission of giving back to society in addition to core objective – to help emerging artists get a break.
The founding team of Trutok had this collective comment to make, “For many art is a ‘nice-to-have’ and not an essential thing.
