The Luxury Supercar Weekend Autoshow was held September 8 and 9, 2012 at the VanDusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver, B.C. Attendees were exposed to a wide variety of luxury vehicles and supercars, as well as food, networking and entertainment. And, thanks to the hard work of many volunteers, attendees also had the chance to get involved with an extremely worthy cause--the Autism Society of British Columbia.
This amazing organization works "To promote understanding, acceptance, and full community inclusion for people with autism in British Columbia while providing support for the realization of the rights and informed choices of individuals with autism and their families." Working in conjunction with the good people at the Luxury Supercar Weekend Autoshow, Tom Napiontek assisted other organizers in hosting a charity fundraiser drive aimed at increasing autism awareness while raising money for an organization that does so much to help affected individuals and families.
Many of the children with whom the Autism Society of British Columbia works had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride in some of the supercars on display. This included the world renowned Fisker, a supercar elite. Mr. Henrik Fisker was also on hand to help raise awareness as well as funds for this worthy cause. It was an event for the entire family with something for everyone to see and enjoy. Most importantly, it served to enrich the lives of some very special Vancouver children.
"Participating in something like this was one of the greatest opportunities," said Napiontek. "The Luxury Supercar Weekend Autoshow is an amazing event in and of itself; but when you add the excitement and philanthropy of an event like we're able to provide for the Autism Society of British Columbia, you have the making of an unforgettable and mutually beneficial event."
