Three Texas queens vie for national crowns!

June 29, 2007 -- The 2007 Texas United Nation Pageant was held June 7, 2007 at the Junior League of Houston; with twenty-eight finalist and semi-finalist vying for the titles of Mrs, Miss and Teen Miss Texas United Nation 2007.  Three Texas beauties will compete in four categories; community involvement, personal interviews, tennis wear and evening gown at the national competition scheduled to be held August 15th in Savannah, Georgia.  The following women will be vying for the titles of Mrs, Miss and Teen United Nation US 2007:  

Jacqueline Elliott, Mrs. Texas United Nation 2007 is a wife, mother, community volunteer, and educator in the Dallas Independent School District.  Jacqueline plans to use her title to bring attention to her platform, “Building Character through Mentoring.”   As Mrs. Texas United Nation 2007, Jacqueline will continue to be involved with Junior Achievement, Teen P.E.A.R.L.S. Studio, Sisters of Alpha Omega Junior Sorority, and other programs that focus on mentoring our youth.  In December, Jacqueline will graduate from Dallas Baptist University with a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and pursue a career as an elementary school principal.

Grace DeForde, Teen Miss Texas United Nation 2007 is a sixteen year old junior currently attending Clear Brook High School.  Grace is on the Junior Varsity Track team, a member of the American Sign Language club, and a member of the nationally ranked Clear Brook Color Guard and Winter Guard teams.  Outside of school, Grace serves as an Advisory Board Member for Region 6 Women with Bleeding and Clotting Disorders, and participates in the local chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation.  Each year Grace travels to the state capital to speak on behalf of the bleeding disorder community.  

Atia Willis, Miss Texas United Nation 2007 is a graduate of Hightower High School in Fresno, Texas where she was a active participant in the drama club and the National Thespian Honor Society.  Atia hopes to encourage other young women to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.  In the fall, Atia will continue her education at Huston-Tillotson College in Austin, Texas where she will major in Business.

About the United Nation Pageants System  

Established in 1996, the United Nation Pageant was created by Sarah Boothe, a 25-year veteran of the pageant industry.  Sarah designed the United Nation Pageant to be a competition for “real people”.  The main purpose of this competition is to showcase women of all ages of the United States of America and the entire world.  These women, young and old alike, do not have to fit into a cookie cutter mold of the ideal life.  She is a real person who truly cares about others.  She is not only attractive on the outside; she is beautiful on the inside as well.
