Whipple Van Ness Jones, III has carried on the family tradition of famous entrepreneurs

G.C. Jones Acquisitions, Inc. came about when Whipple Van Ness Jones, III (Whip) wanted something to do with his (at that time) only child, Georgia Caroline.  G.C. only an infant when Whip came up with the name G.C. Jones Acquisitions, Inc., the name was great, but what to do next.  Well, in 2002 G.C. Jones Acquisitions, Inc. acquired My Favorite Things a small retail store in The Market Shops at Sandestin®.  The business was strong so in 2007 G.C. Jones Acquisitions, Inc. acquired more retail space, this time in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and named the store Molly Caroline's after Molly Catherine and Georgia Caroline.

Whipple Van Ness Jones, III (Whip) has a strong family background for business.

Grandfather Whipple Van Ness Jones (November 8, 1909 – June 29, 2001) was a ski industry pioneer, founder, developer and the original operator for 35 years, of the Aspen Highlands ski area in Aspen, Colorado. Mr. Jones was also a philanthropist, and was inducted into The Colorado Ski Hall of Fame and The Aspen Hall of Fame for his work with Aspen Highlands.

Great Great Grandfather John Irvin Beggs (September 17, 1847 – October 17, 1925) an American entrepreneur, industrialist and financier associated closely with the electric utility boom under Thomas Edison. He was also associated with Milwaukee, St. Louis, Missouri and other regional rail and interurban trolley systems.  Mr. Beggs is also known for developing modern depreciation techniques for business accounting and one of the early directors of what became General Electric.

Great Uncle Robert Paxton McCulloch (May 11, 1911 – February 25, 1977) was an American entrepreneur most notable for McCulloch chainsaws and purchasing the original London Bridge and moving it to one of the cities he founded Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
