THE PIRATE MOVIE YOU HAVEN’T HEARD OF (BUT WILL)
The movie trailer for the independent comedy PIRATES OF THE GREAT SALT LAKE has been recently featured by MySpace.com and as a result has become the second most viewed trailer on the entire site over the last couple of days, receiving well over 70,000 views. A huge feat for an independent film that has yet to spend a dollar in marketing.
 “The response to our trailer has been nothing short of phenomenal,” says Pirates co-writer/director E.R. Nelson. “Literally thousands upon thousands of people are truly excited to see our little movie now because of the exposure we’ve received through MySpace. They’ve opened a new world of marketing opportunities for independent filmmakers.”
PIRATES OF THE GREAT SALT LAKE is a feature comedy about two modern-day pirates in the same veins of Monty Python and Napoleon Dynamite. It has won awards as well as audience and critical acclaim at film festivals around the world and will be distributed in theaters in select cities in April 2007.
