Each United Nation titleholder selects her own platform, which is a specific cause or group she plans to further during her reign. She will travel throughout her state, nation and the world to make appearances to promote the causes of her choice. Each United Nation Queen is thrilled and overwhelmed upon her crowning, and not only appreciates but respects the honor and responsibility placed upon her. Established in 1996, the United Nation Pageant was created by Sarah Boothe, a 25-year veteran of the pageant industry. Sarah has held both state and national pageant titles. Over the years, she decided that pageants typically seemed more concerned with sponsors and advertising than the real focal point, the contestant. Sarah designed the United Nation Pageant to be a competition for "Real People." The main purpose of this competition is to showcase women of all ages, of the United States of America and the entire world. These women, young and old alike, do not have to fit into a cookie cutter mold. Although these women come for all different backgrounds, they have one thing in common, they manage their lives-school, family, career, marriage and community involvement with elegance and grace.
