While Aras Baskauskas was on the hit reality series CBS’s Survivor: Exile Island, viewers became fascinated with this handsome yogi and his love of the ancient practice of yoga. On November 30, 2007, they’ll be able to bring Aras into their homes once again – this time for a 90 minute yoga workout routine titled, “Yoga for Health and Wellness.”
This is part of a series being launched by TRPyoga, who sought out Aras due to his extreme passion for yoga. “Aras not only practices yoga, he lives it” says series producer Jackie Olson. His routine focuses on overall health, but he also added in a 10 minute strengthening sequence for people who want maximum results in a short period of time. Equally athletic and intelligent, Aras received a scholarship to UC Irvine captaining the University Division 1 Men’s Basketball Team. After graduating with a BA in Philosophy, he expanded his education wings, earning an MBA at the prestigious Paul Merage School of Business. Even after winning a million dollars for winning Survivor, Aras chooses to live his life in an unconventional way. He’s a vegan who lives on a compound in Venice that they turn into a camp for special needs individuals for two weeks out of each year. Aras currently teaches yoga in Santa Monica, California under the mentorship of Nzazi Malonga where he is furthering his studies in Warrior Yoga.
