News of this collaboration has Chris Anderson, member of the Central City Economic Development committee, excited: "The expansion of the Covenant Doors operation to manufacture product for Sunheat couldn't come at a better time for Central City. These new jobs will provide a needed boost to our local economy at a time when good news can be hard to find. This is a great example of two high quality companies producing a product we can all be proud of. We thank Sunheat for their interest in Central City."
According to Ted Rookstool, the owner of SunHeat, "we are very excited, and proud, to partner with Covenant Doors and Millwork. They are a local, family owned business with the same strong values we possess. By teaming with Covenant Doors and Millwork, we are able to utilize their superior technology and craftsmanship to better an already great product. Together, we are able to increase the quality of our product while increasing industry and jobs in Central Nebraska. This is truly a win/win situation for all".
"Wayne & Mechelle Williams, principles of Covenant Doors & Millwork, Inc. congratulate Sunheat on their strategic decision to move the manufacturing of the Sunheat cabinet from overseas production to the United States. This is a great direction not only for Sunheat and Covenant Doors, but also for our Country, state, and community as a whole. Sunheat has demonstrated that they are leaders in this industry by showcasing a truly Made in America product that will be manufactured with a "Green" attitude for an environmentally friendly product. Covenant Doors & Millwork is proud to stand with Sunheat as we take back manufacturing jobs that have found their way in the possession of foreign trade.
Sunheat has demonstrated repeatedly their commitment to quality. We at Covenant Doors & Millwork look forward to continuing this attitude of excellence in the construction of each cabinet. As we move forward with the creation of new jobs in America, Sunheat will be building pride and a sense of duty in our work force here in Nebraska. In these tough economic times it is exciting to see an organization like Sunheat that has this type of purpose. This is not a company that stands on the sideline and watches what their competitors do - this is an organization with vision that sets the pace and others follow."
The celebration next Wednesday is open to the public from 9-1. There will be lunch provided and representatives from both companies will be available to discuss this exciting time.
