Stella's Voice Announcing New Fundraising Drive

July 10, 2012 (MMD Newswire) -- Stella's Voice, an organization with over 20 years' experience aiding orphans in Moldova, is announcing a new fundraising drive to raise $600,000 to construct a new church to serve the residents of Stella's House, a refuge for orphaned teenage girls. The church will complement two new homes that the organization will build in the near future, for which funds have already been raised; constructing the church simultaneously with the homes will save hundreds of thousands in construction costs.

Stella's Voice has for several decades offered shelter and support in a loving Christian environment for orphans in Moldova, the poorest country in Eastern Europe. Orphans in Moldova are routinely turned out of state-run orphanages at age sixteen; the heavy stigmatization they face in society makes them vulnerable to predators involved in human trafficking. Stella's Voice hopes to raise awareness of these human trafficking victims while offering a home to orphans who otherwise may have no better options.
