LAGUNA BEACH, CA (MMD Newswire) June 8, 2012 -- Wells of Life announced today the generous $5,000 donation from St. Matthew's Parish School in Pacific Palisades. This donation will fund the building of a water well in a village in East Africa.

The St Matthew's Student Action Leadership Team selected Wells of Life as their philanthropic organization for the 2011-2012 school year. This group organized numerous events and fundraisers in order to educate the community and student body of the lack of clean drinking water in rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa.

"It touches my heart to see the St Matthew's students making such an impact on their local community and the lives of those in another continent. With their efforts, we will be able to build another water well and bring fresh water to 1,000-2,000 people. I can only hope other schools will follow suit and help us solve the water dilemma in East Africa one water well at a time," said Nick Jordan, President of Wells of Life.
