Tokyo, Japan (MMD Newswire) July 12, 2012 - Noted game developer HyperDevbox is bringing its flagship tactical role-playing game (RPG) "Spectral Souls," to iOS platforms this month. Introduced to the Android platform early last year, this popular game will finally be available to users of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

"Spectral Souls" is a long and deep tactical RPG game, which, Perconti notes, is a genre that is still under-represented on iOS. "Being a console-quality game, its size, which is about 1GB, makes it one of the largest applications on this platform," he says.
Users can download, install, and play the Prologue of "Spectral Souls" for free, after which they can pay to unlock the full game. "It's a universal application," says Perconti, "meaning that it is optimized to run on all iOS devices."
"Spectral Souls" was the first game of its genre on the smartphone market, according to Perconti. It is an epic good-versus-evil fantasy with an intricate story but plenty of action, and spectacular music to add to the experience. Its universe and characters, now well known in the gaming community, were designed by a company called Idea Factory and ported and packed for the mobile devices by HyperDevbox. The focus of the tale is the Seven-Year War between humans and demons, taking place in Magic Age 1053 on Neverland, "a world apart from our own, home to strange and dangerous creatures." The game was designed to appeal to all fans of fast-moving tactical RPGs, especially those who want to take their portable gaming experience to new levels.
Until now, "Spectral Souls" has been an Android-exclusive game and has been a huge hit with Android users. Perconti stresses that HyperDevbox will continue its support of that platform. "After all, our Android users have been very supportive of us," he says, "and we wouldn't be where we are without them. But we wanted to be able to bring the 'Spectral Souls' experience to iPhone and iPad users who have been waiting for this for a long time."
He adds, "This is very cool news for gamers looking for high-quality games on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch."
