S'mores and Massage A Treat For All Senses

Chicago, IL -- August 22, 2007 -- Pedicures and peach cider, maracas and marshmallows: just two of the ways Lincoln Park Massage Spa, a Chicago-based wellness organization, is creating a complete sensory experience for its customers.  With its new Thursday themed spa parties, patrons can indulge in everything from S’mores and salsa to Reggae and Middle Eastern rhythms, while receiving spa treatments in a comfortable, upscale spa environment.

Thursday themed spa parties are scheduled for one Thursday each month, and include a 45-minute treatment, which varies from foot and hand services to massage for the entire body.  Each party is centered on a specific theme, and includes music, food and goodie bags filled with special take-home items.  

“Our customers have been telling us for months that Thursdays are the least anticipated day of their week; so we developed a way to go out during the work week and feel even better the next day,” says Christine Ramsey, co-owner of Lincoln Park Massage Spa.  “It’s a unique spin on traditional spa services, and gives our customers the opportunity to enjoy a complete experience – with food, music and a relaxing getaway.”

As many as five spa parties are scheduled throughout 2007, including: Bahama Bash on August 23rd, Peachy Feet on September 27th, Far East Retreat on October 25th, S’more Galore on November 15th, and Holiday Chill-Out on December 27th.  Tickets for the events are $75 per event/person, or $350 per person to attend all five events.  Discounted tickets are also available.

“We have chosen the themes carefully to match the season while exposing customers to a variety of our services, foods, and music that go from simple to exotic,” explains Ramsey.  “The city of Chicago is a multi-cultural metropolis that is defined by different types of people.  The one thing we all seem to have in common is our lives are fast-paced and sometimes stressful.  The hope is that these spa parties will give people a reason to come together and enjoy a little time for better health and wellness.”
