SLEEPOVER ROVER, PETCO Launch Arizona Summer Pet Safety Campaign

June 12, 2007 -- Sleepover Rover and PETCO Animal Supplies are launching their Arizona Summer Pet Safety campaign to help Arizona pet parents keep their furry family members safe and happy during the hot summer months.

The two companies worked together to compile Summer Pet Safety Tips – available to all pet parents for free and covering topics such as heat stroke, pool safety, predators, cars, water, shade, summer haircuts, chemicals, paws, heartworm, monsoons, sunburn and exercise tips.  

“We have many residents who are new to desert living and unaware of the extreme heat conditions we face,” says Sleepover Rover founder Maggie Brown. “We also have existing residents who may be aware of some dangers but not aware of others, so our aim is to get the word out and help pet parents keep their canine companions safe and happy during the summer months.”

“We see and hear about many cases of pet illness and injury during the summer months and these tips will help minimize these threats and ensure that all family members enjoy their summer,” adds Janelle Watts, PETCO’s marketing coordinator for the area.
