Simplified SCRIP’s New Patent Pending Process Makes Fundraising through Gift Cards a Breeze

Madison, WI – February 8, 2007 -- Ask anyone what they think about a fundraiser traditionally known as “SCRIP”, and most will tell you that it is incredibly time consuming. Gift card fundraisers can do a great job of raising money but they also require a volunteer coordinator to facilitate the program.  Reaching a fundraising goal with a traditional SCRIP program requires coordination, meeting deadlines, money collection, fulfillment, distribution and donation tracking.  This can be a full time job for many group fundraising coordinators.  Although the need to raise money is great, many groups just can’t find the volunteers that are willing to devote the time and effort for a SCRIP gift card program.

In April 2006, Simplified SCRIP “simplified” gift card fundraising with a new patent pending process that makes raising money through the purchase of gift cards simple.  To raise money, a participant simply purchases a gift card and a donation is made to a school or other non profit group chosen by the buyer. Money collections, accounting, delivery, and promotion services are all provided by Simplified SCRIP for the school or fundraising group.  Simplified SCRIP then provides each customer with an online account where they can track their individual donations as well as their entire organizations donations.

Simplified SCRIP offers a great fundraiser that is easy to administer and offers excellent profit potential.   Any non-profit organization in the United States is able to participate in the program – from public and private schools, churches, booster clubs, and local/national charities.  The participants seem to really like the program.  Here’s what one participant had to say,
