New Web Site Allows Artists & Pastors to Share Their Message With the World

Philadelphia, PA -- June 9, 2008 -- “Music is one of the most powerful motivators on this planet,” says Philadelphia’s Dennis T. Cary says God gave him a vision for a Christian gospel music Web site in 2000 but it took years to come to fruition. Today MusicfortheSpirit.com is a Christian alternative to popular social sites criticized for questionable content. Members can blog, create polls, participate in discussion forums, send each other messages, and upload music, videos and photos to share. With a layout similar to popular networking site MySpace.com, Cary hopes his site will give Christian musicians another outlet to publicize their talent. “If you want to promote something, you need to be in more than one place. For the artist, MusicfortheSpirit.com allows the exposure of Christian music and brings recognition to the Christian gospel industry.” And when it comes to designing a page or sharing music via the site’s audio player, Cary says MySpace users can copy and paste their page layout code into their MusicfortheSpirit.com account and immediately create an identical page.

In addition to serving the music industry, Cary explains that unlike some networks, MusicfortheSpirit.com also allows Christian churches and non-profit groups to build a page where members can interact, post images and promote upcoming events. “The church can build a site and promote different groups for the women’s ministry, men’s ministry and youth ministry. And if you didn’t make it to church on Sunday, maybe your pastor uploaded the sermon.”
