Self Help:  Feeling Overwhelmed? New Book Offers Blueprint to Finding Happiness in ‘7 Weeks or Less’

Everyone wants to be happy.  But unlike most self-help books ‘Every Day Matters’ goes beyond outlining problems, and actually provides the tools to find solutions.

Glastonbury, Conn. / July 24, 2007 -- For the many Americans who are miserable because their lives have spiraled out of control, a new book actually shows them how to get their lives back on track.

“This is not a book about commiserating.  This is a book about providing solutions by offering a uniquely simple-to-follow process that is quick to learn and incorporate into every day life” says Agata Dulnik, Ed.D, author of Every Day Matters:  How You Can Improve Your Life in 7 Weeks or Less (Wheatmark, $16.99).

Life’s Challenges

If it feels like there’s more misery in people’s lives today than 20 years ago, that’s because there is, according to a new study from University of Chicago's National Opinion Research Center.

The study found that illness, the cost of medical care, mounting bills, unemployment and rocky romantic relationships caused the most misery in people’s lives.

“Change will not happen by itself, and it will not happen overnight,” says Dr. Dulnik.   “In most cases, we single-handedly create the circumstances we face, and it is up to us to fix whatever is wrong. The good news is that even though it may have taken years to get to where we are in life today, it does not have to take years to fix it.”

In her book, Dr. Dulnik offers practical advice based on time-tested research and insights drawn from her own coaching experience on divorce, job problems, death of a loved one, health crisis, unhealthy relationship patters and many others.

"Every Day Matters isn't about diagnosis or traditional therapy; it's about putting you in the driver's seat and empowering you to change the circumstances of your life," says Dr. Joe Luciani, best-selling author of The Power of Self-Coaching.

About Dr. Agata Dulnik:  Dr. Dulnik has an MBA, Masters Degrees in psychology and negotiation and conflict resolution, and an Ed.D. in human and organizational studies from the George Washington University.  She is a trained mediator and negotiator with an Executive Master Coach certification from the Behavioral Institute.
