The wine opener is made from "maillechort,” stainless steel and 100-year-old French Vine wood. “Maillechort” is the name of a French alloy (copper, nickel and zinc) and was invented in France by Maillot & Chorier around 1820. The antique Vine wood was added to the wine opener as a symbol of longevity, stamina and strength.
