Rock on Road Show Las Vegas to pay tribute to Great Blues Drummer Francis Clay of Muddy Waters

On November 16th and 17th 2007, the Rock On Road Show will perform in Las Vegas at the V-Theater located inside the Miracle Mile Shops at the Planet Hollywood Resort Casino.  The Rock On Road Show is a live musical production that presents to the audience, “the Blues that made Rock & Roll”.  

November 16th is the 84th Birthday of Francis Clay, the drummer for Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and a founding member of the James Cotton Blues Band. “The Rolling Stones threw me a party in ’99, but, to recognize me and the blues with this Las Vegas tribute will be the best birthday present ever” said Francis from his home in San Francisco.  We are proud to dedicate this weekend of music to a true legend of the blues.
 
The Las Vegas Rock On Road Show will feature Craig Chaquico.  Craig has inspired two generations of music fans as the lead guitarist/songwriter for Jefferson Starship and has sold over a million records as a solo artist.  Craig Chaquico, Elvis Presley, Barbara Streisand, The Rolling Stones, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, and Bob Dylan are the only artists to be awarded 20 or more gold records.

Also featured in the show will be members of the legendary Latino rock band El Chicano.  Founding member and keyboardist, Bobby Espinoza, guitarist Ray Carrion (Tierra, Peter Criss Band) and percussionist Victor Pantoja (Santana, Malo) will bring you the groundbreaking signature sound that since 1970 has set the standard for all Latino rock and blues artists.    

Musical Director Cole Tate, leads the Rock On All Star Band.  As a singer, songwriter and guitarist, Cole has performed and recorded with an extensive list rock greats including Chris Isaak, Bob Weir, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), Clarence Clemens (Bruce Springsteen), Los Lobos and Keb Mo to name a few.  The electrifying, fiery, red-headed singer Boudeeka, performs with one of Americas top tribute bands, the Un-Authorized Rolling Stones.  Other Rock On All Stars include Chris Collins, currently the touring guitarist for Big Brother and the Holding Company.  Guitar prodigy, Miles Schon, is the 19 year old son of Neal Schon, guitarist and founding member of Journey and Santana.    Harmonica player, Eugene Huggins, has most recently appeared on the “Conan O’ Brien Show” with Grammy Award winning songwriter, Tom Waits.  Wade Olson is the tour drummer for Craig Chaquico and bass player, Chris Wilson is a veteran of the Bay Area “Jam Band” scene.  Find out more at www.rockonroadshow.com .
