Robert Lewis to Speak at the 2012 Claims and Litigation Management Alliance Conference

January 18, 2012 (MMD Newswire) -- Robert Lewis has been selected to speak at the 2012 Annual Conference of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) on the topic of Medicare liens, penalties and recovery efforts. The CLM Conference will be one of the largest, fully inclusive defense industry conferences in 2012. It will be held March 28 to 30 in San Diego, California, where more than 80 collaborative educational sessions featuring more than 300 speakers are scheduled. The Conference is expected to draw attendees from around the world.

Mr. Lewis is president of Crowe Paradis Services Corporation, a Verisk Analytics company (Nasdaq: VRSK). Crowe Paradis is a national Medicare compliance company with a complete solution for claims resolution, including Section 111 reporting, conditional payment advocacy, and MSA allocations.

Mr. Lewis is a founding member and former president of the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals (NAMSAP), a member of the Medicare Advocacy Recovery Coalition (MARC), and chairman of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) Medicare Compliance Committee. In 2004, he was selected by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the "Top 40 lawyers under the age of 40" based in large part on his accomplishments in the Medicare arena. Mr. Lewis has published a number of articles addressing Medicare compliance, including articles/chapters found in Lexis Medicare Compliance Treatise, The New Jersey Law Journal, Medley's Managed Care Liability Report, Andrews Health Law, New Jersey Lawyer, Mealey's Litigation Report: Employer Liability Insurance, and Geaney's New Jersey Workers' Compensation Manual.

Mr Lewis is also a nationally recognized speaker and has presented before the Risk Insurance Management Society (RIMS), the American Insurance Association (AIA), the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and the American Inns of Court program. In addition to numerous educational programs, Mr. Lewis has assisted in training and protocol development for a number of the nation's largest insurance carriers, third party administrators, and self-insured organizations. Mr. Lewis had a distinguished career as a practicing workers compensation defense attorney while serving as a partner in the law firm of Capehart & Scatchard in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. He has also practiced liability and workers compensation defense in North Carolina with the law firm of Hedrick, Eatman, Gardner & Kincheloe. Mr. Lewis is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, North Carolina, and before the United States Supreme Court.
