New York City, N.Y (MMD Newswire) September 27, 2010 -- A recent study has again shown that resveratrol, a phytoalexin found in the skin of fruit, berries and the Japanese Knotweed plant, can help to reduce inflammation. The results also showed that the antioxidant levels of resveratrol helped to combat free radicals, the main cause of age related diseases.
The study included 20 adults who were given either a supplement of Resveratrol or a placebo, once a day for six weeks. The results showed that the group taking the resveratrol had lower levels of inflammation in their blood vessels compared to the placebo group. The researchers concluded that resveratrol could help benefit those suffering from many age related diseases including cardiovascular, diabetes and cognitive health.
James Betz, CEO and founder of Biotvia, a resveratrol specialist bioceutical company, welcomed these results, saying: "These results highlight the findings we have discovered in our own studies using Bioforte and Transmax, our strongest resveratrol supplements. There is a growing recognition within the medical community of Resveratrol's ability to activate various signalling pathways and processes. The polyphenols, antioxidants and glucosides found in Resveratrol are being proved to have beneficial effects for a wide range of age-related and genetic illnesses, as well as those suffering with cerebral issues."
Bioforte contains 250mg of trans-resveratrol isomer per capsule. Unlike many other products on the market, Biotivia's supplement contains no cis-resveratrol, which has no beneficial health effects and no additives of any type. Transmax and Bioforte do contain significant amounts of polydatin and the other beneficial glucocides of resveratrol and polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese knotweed). Bioforte is 100% pure, natural, full-spectrum bio-enhanced resveratrol that has been used in many well publicized studies by reputable establishments such as the Albert Einstein Medical Center and University of Northumbria.
