Respected Local Physician Opens Fitness Camp for Kids

Las Vegas, NV -- October 12, 2006 -- Trina Wiggins - Respected Physician, Fitness Competitor, Wife, Mother of Twins. She has been a practicing pediatrician for 20 years and over the past few years, she has noticed a void in her practice.

Over the years, she has witnessed the startling increase in obese and overweight children in her practice. Surely, there was more that she could do to have a greater impact on the health of children. Once becoming involved with fitness competitions, the pieces of the puzzle finally fit together. She began competing at age 42 and now at age 45, she placed 8th in Ms. Fitness USA and 16th in Ms. Fitness World on Sept 8. 2006.

She has found a way to combine her profession with her passion for fitness by starting her Fit Kidz Club which teaches children preventive medicine by adopting a healthier lifestyle. This healthier lifestyle is taught through fun activities such as timed obstacle courses and creative movement that incorporates flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular fitness. There are nutritional games and discussions along with taste testing of healthy foods.
