RALLEY IN DC TO GIVE HOPE TO CHILDREN FIGHTING NEUROBLASTOMA |

On September 29, 2007, seven fathers will be finishing their journey cross-country and will be reunited with their families after 19 days. They collaborated a bike ride across country to raise the imperative funding and awareness to help their children survive a deadly childhood cancer, neuroblastoma. Six hundred children a year are diagnosed with neuroblastoma and because of it rare nature the research funding is limited. It is the goal of these fathers to raise the 3 million dollars to afford their children and the other children with this horrible disease other options, potentially life-saving alternatives and possibly a cure. These fathers are heroes in the eyes of their children and to their families and friends. They are being strong and brave something they have seen in their children since the onset of their disease. These children are young; too young to experience and endure the endless procedures and pain that this cancer requires to keep it under control. Many lose their battle, something that these fathers cannot imagine for their kids, and that is why they are so determined to pave a way for change in the treatment options available for their kids. The welcome home rally will be held at the Arlington Gateway Park in Rosslyn, VA at the foot of the Key Bridge just across the Potomac River from Washington DC. The park has been blocked off for the Loneliest Road starting at 8 am on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Donations can be sent to: Grace Oughton Cancer Foundation Attn:Loneliest Road Campaign 9962 Brook Road Suite 617 Glen Allen, Virginia 23059
