"Queen of psychics," Yolana Bard, passes on

March 30, 2007 -- The extraordinary "queen of psychics," Yolana Bard, who worked with celebrities, political figures and law enforcement officials for over 25 years, and who at one time was named "New York's Best Psychic," died in her home in Manhattan on Thursday at the age of 66.

The internationally acclaimed psychic helped countless people around the world find answers to their questions. Whether they were wondering how to achieve success in business or happiness in life, or simply wanted to connect with a loved one who passed on, Yolana used her remarkable abilities to offer direction and hope.

As one of the world’s most respected psychic mediums, Yolana was constantly consulted on high-profile criminal cases, where she helped countless police departments solve mysterious cold cases – particularly ones involving missing children.  In addition to working on a host of puzzling criminal cases, her private client list read like a who’s who of Hollywood’s top celebrities, world leaders, and major corporate executives.

In a world of skeptics and critics, Yolana was known for her incredibly accurate readings. In fact, world-renowned parapsychologist and author Hans Holzer claimed that no one can match her track record. Holzer says that a good medium is on target about half the time, while Yolana consistently averaged in the eighty percent range and regularly approached one hundred percent.

For over a quarter of a century, Yolana used her gifts to encourage her clients to trust their instincts and look inside themselves for the answers they seek – and for all those years, she heard them say that they had "just one more question to ask." That frequent inquiry from her clients prompted Yolana to write her autobiography, "Just One More Question," with Penguin Putnam last year, where she was able to offer readers everywhere guidance and insight in the hope that they would learn to trust their own instincts and fulfill their own destinies.

“Fifty percent accuracy with a psychic is a desirable state.  Yolana has, incredibly enough, been accurate to one hundred percent…I believe she’s one of the great psychics of this century.”
--Hans Holzer, Ph.D.

"There are few people I have met who can ignite the imagination as she does. Inside her diminutive frame is the power of the universe, proof of the divine. I believe she is an instrument of God's love and guidance."
- Kelsey Grammer, television and film actor and executive producer of Medium

Yolana leaves behind two loving sons, Michael and Ron, their wives Audrey and Cheri, and one loving daughter, Melody and her husband John. Yolana also leaves behind six grandchildren, Danee´, Max-A-Million, Alexander, Noelani and Rebecca.  Sarah.
