Proving there is no God
5/31/2007 - New York -- June 11, 2007 -- In today's world of marked religious strife, the timing seems appropriate to necessarily reevaluate the ideals that religions would have us pursue; and Sean Sinjin has asked us to do precisely that.
"As the most important issue of our time, it is absolutely critical that humankind begins the painful process of weaning itself off of the drug-like effects of religious fantasy. Some of the most difficult challenges we face today are the direct result of ethereal addiction and the fallout of those beliefs. We must finally emerge from the dark ages of gods, ghosts, and demons, and into the light of science and education so that billions of lives are no longer wasted in the pursuit of affiliation with supernatural creatures that do not exist."
Sean Sinjin's non-profit website, BetterHuman.org, contains a great deal of information regarding the truths and myths surrounding atheism, exposes the myriad of psychological traps employed by religions, and strongly promotes "Ethereal addiction" awareness, citing religion's strong parallel to drug addiction.
"Imagine if there was a pill that would compel the user to believe a magic bunny ruled the universe, and anyone that took this pill would then become committed to giving these pills to as many people as they could such that others would also believe in the magic bunny. Sound crazy? Well, religion is that pill. Religion is a virtual drug that incites this exact form of insanity, as it has done for eons. The con of religion must be seen for what it is, the oldest and largest pyramid scheme in all of history, that only truly benefits the wallets of the priests."
A great deal of the BetterHuman.org website focuses on educating readers about the Theory of Evolution, the Scientific Method, and it contains an extensive weblog where Sean interacts with a wide diversity of visitors to the site. And even though BetterHuman.org proposes highly controversial tenets that can apparently defeat the persistence of religious fantasy, readers will be most intrigued by the approach to disproving the existence of God, which uses a unique application of the Scientific Method.
Yet, for the very religious, will even hard proof against their god, be enough proof?
