Protest Scheduled at Oklahoma State Capital Building by Spring Breaker in Swimsuit
Who – Susan has decided to spend her Spring Break lobbying for change. Susan will be clad in a swimsuit sitting in her beach chair. The public is invited to bring their beach chairs and participate.
What - Student on spring break will be demonstrating for lobbyist reform. Susan calls it, "Spring Breaking for a cause."
Where - Oklahoma State Capitol Building on the South Plaza. The State Capitol Building's North Lawn will be used if needed for crowd overflow.
When - Wednesday, March 19, 2008 through Saturday, March 22, 2008 Time: 10 a.m. – 6p.m.
Why – To demand that Oklahoma's politicians stop taking gifts from lobbyists. According to Susan, lobbyists have made it impossible for the average Oklahoman to be represented. Susan has opted for an alternative Spring Break to bring this issue to the forefront.
