project222 was officially formed in 2007 when a group of five touring musicians finally came together as one. Their 2004 LP, "The Wrong," was a huge success and their follow up in 2008, "Sunlight Over the Hills," (full-length album) promises to be a great musical accomplishment within the US, and the world.

There sound as been defined as post-alternative rock with an acoustic foundation and psychedelic undertones. They are an interesting combination of sounds which meld them into a blend of Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews, Live, and Pink Floyd. The live shows are dynamic as they "open up" and create new sounds during each performance, hence their success in the jam band scene.

Singer Dennis DeSanctis is a talented song writer, nominated for numerous awards, with four outstanding musicians around him, including good friend Jimmy Farkas (lead guitar). Jimmy has taken the stage with many hall of fame musicians and has toured full-time with acts such as Borialis and Sarah Hudson. Some of his work can be heard on PlayStation2 games and multi-platinum albums, such as Joss Stone's Soul Sessions and Disney's Jonas Brothers. Along side him, bass player Phil DiGiorgio has had a lot of success on the jam band scene with his national touring band, The Breadbox Band. Their hit song, "N," can be heard on PS2's Sims2 and they've played center stage at numerous musical festivals throughout the US. The drummer, Bob Elliott is known as one of the best in the New Jersey area, establishing himself with a well-known DMB tribute band, "Rhyme and Reason." Eric Safka brings a tremendous dynamic to the sound with his keys, such as the Hammond organ, Rhodes, Clav, and Synth. Eric has been in numerous successful acts, such as "Days Awake" and "Paperback Radio." Now the five of them are combining years of experience, talent, and creativity…project222.
