Calgary, Canada (MMD Newswire) September 6, 2012 -- Process Pathways have appointed a new CFO in addition to promoting two key members of the team. These appointments are a result of the company's recent growth and innovation in the organizations core software suite, ROMEO.
Effective August 1, 2012 Ronald Kavanaugh has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Process Pathways. Ronald is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (National Silver Medalist - 1995) and the Certified Management Accountants of Alberta. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Calgary. His work experience includes corporate acquisitions and divestitures, business valuation advisory services and litigation support, corporate finance and controllership, and Canadian personal and corporate income tax. As the CFO his responsibilities will include financial reporting, corporate planning, tax compliance & planning, acquisitions and divestments and stewarding the Company's financial condition.
Along with the appointment of the new CFO, Poorni Gopalapillai has been promoted from Technical Lead to Manager, Applications Development and Heather Ward has been promoted from Senior Business Analyst to Manager, Product Development.
Poorni has been with Process Pathways since March 2004. In her new position Poorni will be leading the development team responsible for the ROMEO suite of research administration software products. Her strong technical skills, and experience in working with ROMEO from its initial inception, give her a deep understanding of the functionality and capabilities of the product. Now, in addition to overseeing everything from assessment to installation and support services, Poorni will officially lead the technical team in applications development. It is a role which will enable Poorni to offer greater guidance in the future direction of the ROMEO suite of products.
With a research administration background, and over two years of direct involvement with ROMEO and Process Pathways' clients, Heather has tremendous insight into the client experience. In addition to her ongoing business analysis and product implementation work, Heather will now assume a leadership role in assessing and promoting further improvements to the ROMEO suite of research administration software products. Heather's broad understanding of the ROMEO product and appreciation for the needs of the research office, make her a valuable interface between Process Pathways and their many research office clients.
