Prime broadcast and netcast trademark and domains available

Will save millions in branding costs

(Toronto, Canada) September 26, 2006 -- YOUtv Inc. is selling its registered trademark “YOUtv” and all of the associated domain names it owns.  The trademark is registered in the United States and Canada, and the associated domain names are:

•    youtv.net
•    youtv.org
•    youtv.ca
•    youtv.mobi

“We have received offers in the past for our trademark and domains because people recognize its branding power.” said Ian Chamandy, YOUtv’s Chairman. “Any company that wants to quickly connect its customers with television and the Internet will be able to save time and millions of dollars in branding investment with the YOUtv name because its meaning is so intuitive to everyone.”

Chamandy says the trademark and domains are being sold because the company will be changing its name to reflect a new direction.  “We will continue to operate as YOUtv Inc. until the name is sold and then change to our new name.”

Chamandy says the power in the YOUtv name comes from consumers’ ability to quickly understand the notion of very personalized television and internet fused into a single brand.  “Unlike most brand building, which takes years of repetition and millions of dollars in advertising,  the buyer of this name will  be able to invest far less in brand building and redirect those funds to tangible ways to generate revenue.”

The suite of internet names includes the new “.mobi” domain, which is dedicated to the exploding use of mobile phones for web browsing, watching TV and wireless video streaming.  “The YOUtv name works across all broadcast and digital media,” says Chamandy, “making it a great branding platform for television networks, Internet broadcasters, entertainment companies and wireless communications companies.”

YOUtv is in discussions with “companies you would recognize,” says Chamandy.  “They are all companies that target the youth and young adult markets, and recognize the value of a strong, intuitive brand name.”
