A successful test in select Cheeseburger In Paradise restaurants led to the chain-wide rollout. The company reported increases in draft beer sales as the eye-catching Tubes "sold themselves."
"The reaction has been incredible," said Monica Tary, Director of Beverage, Cheeseburger In Paradise. "Anytime a Beer Tube is delivered to a table, every head turns to see what it is. The sale of one Beer Tube causes a chain reaction and normally 2-3 more Tube sales immediately follow. We have even received some requests to purchase the Tube to take home with them."
Beer Tubes are available with two styles of dispenser - a 100-oz Tube or the 128-oz Super Tube™ - and more than 25 base designs, including patented sports and custom bases.
The Tubes at Cheeseburger In Paradise have a custom designed base that carries the restaurant's laid-back, beach-party theme. Each tube has its own tap that allows customers to serve themselves at the table.
Beer Tubes are also popular with the staff. "We've had great server/customer interaction talking about the Tubes, and our servers and bartenders love them because they are easy to execute operationally," said Tary. "The bartenders only have to pour a draft beer once for a large party, and the servers are not running from the table to the bar as often, allowing them to focus on their other responsibilities."
