Sugar Hill, Georgia (MMD Newswire) April 15, 2010 -- The South Carolina Locksmith Association recently honored Local Certified Master Locksmith Kevin Wilson for dedicated service. Mr. Wilson is one of only 5 association members to have received both the Member of the Year Award and the coveted Life Member Award.

One of only eight people since the inception of the association in 1982 to ever receive this distinguished award, Kevin is a Certified Master Locksmith (CML) by the Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA). He is also a Certified Professional Safe Technician (CPS) by the Safe and Vault Technicians Association (SAVTA). Kevin was completely surprised when his name was announced as the newest recipient of the Life Member award of SCLA, which exempts him from dues fees for life.

He is the founder and former owner of Keystone Lock Service in Lilburn, GA, which he operated for over 20 years. After the sale of that business, Kevin worked for the new owner from 2006 to 2009, and most recently founded his new firm - Kevin Wilson Master Locksmith on February 23, 2009.

Kevin, highly respected throughout the security industry, holds a B.A. degree in Education. As a former schoolteacher, he has taught numerous locksmith educational classes for the Georgia Chapter of ALOA, and the SCLA, and the North Carolina Locksmith Association.

Kevin is a favorite instructor for the Gwinnett County Police Crime Prevention Unit, teaching classes on how to protect homes and business from forced entry. He is also the 1994 recipient of the "Locksmith of the Year" award from the SCLA.

Kevin Wilson, a security professional in the Atlanta area for over 30 years, is proud to have served the citizens of Gwinnett County, Georgia and is bonded through the Associated Locksmiths of America.
