Beverly Hills, CA (MMD Newswire) March 18, 2010 - Fleur De Lis Film Studios announced the completion of the filming of the first episode of the TV Series, "Whistleblowers - The Untold Stories". The series will feature stories of whistleblowers from all walks of life, bringing the plight of these unsung American heroes to the forefront of the media attention. The project is headed by Hollywood Producer/Director, Baron BJ Davis, member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), Producers Guild of America (PGA), Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Academy of Arts & Sciences and other prestigious entertainment industry guilds and unions. "Whistleblowers - The Untold Stories" is written by Baroness Julia Davis, screenwriter of Award-winning feature film and TV Series, Investigative Reporter, Executive Member of Women In Film (WIF), Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and Academy of Arts & Sciences.

"The cost of fraud in the U.S. is $660 billion annually. Corruption, fraud and abuse affect all Americans. Retaliation against whistleblowers destroys lives and careers, causing a chilling effect on our freedom to speak up as concerned citizens. Government corruption also compromises national security," said Julia Davis, who is herself a National Security Whistleblower, having served as a Customs and Border Protection Officer with the Department of Homeland Security. "I know the impact of whistleblower retaliation firsthand, having endured two malicious prosecutions, a Blackhawk helicopter raid of my residence with a Special Response Team and an involuntary resignation from my position as a CBP Officer, caused by retaliatory persecution by the DHS. I have not received any support or assistance from any organizations in my plight to fight back and to clear my name from false allegations. Having succeeded in my pursuit of justice, it is now my goal to give other whistleblowers a voice and a medium in which to tell their horrifying stories," Davis concluded.

The first episode of "Whistleblowers - The Untold Stories" features Captain Dan Hanley, the Spokesperson for the Whistleblowing Airline Employees Association. Hanley blew the whistle on airline safety and national security concerns, as well as bankruptcy fraud by United Airlines and RICO statute violations. Captain Hanley was subjected to severe retaliation for his whistleblowing disclosures, prompting his early retirement and destroying his 35-year aviation career. Prior to working as a pilot for United Airlines, Dan Hanley honorably served his country as a Naval Aviator. For the past six years Dan Hanley has been heading a grassroots organization, entitled the Whistleblowing Airline Employees Association working in association with the FAA Whistleblowers Alliance, the Association of Flight Attendants, Global Cabin Air Quality Executive, the Aerotoxic Association, Toxic Free Airlines, Passenger Rights, the Business Travelers Coalition, Safe Skies and many other whistleblowing organizations.

Producer/Director BJ Davis said, "Our TV series will cover many instances of powers-that-be attempting to silence true American heroes, which jeopardizes our constitutional rights, citizens safety and our security as a nation. "Whistleblowers - The Untold Stories" will feature stories of government, big business corruption and ruthless retaliation against whistleblowers who expose these crimes financed with taxpayer's dollars. Things like that shouldn't happen in America."

BJ and Julia Davis are joined in their effort by veteran filmmaker Spice Williams-Crosby, Co-Producer Eva Choina, Associate Producer, H.R.H. Prince Maurício Ahnume Guérios, Director of Photography Asif Akbar and Post Production Supervisor Jon Kazy. Fleur De Lis Film Studios in association with Make Believe Entertainment, helmed by Spice Williams-Crosby, are also co-producing TV Series, "I Fight For My Life". Both TV Series will be distributed for television, cable, DVD sales and rentals for all ancillary markets.

In addition to featuring stories of prominent whistleblowers, the program will cover current events with respect to the pending legislation to secure much-needed amendments to the Whistleblower Protection Act (WPA). In the past, whistleblower stories have garnered public attention through feature films, such as "Serpico", starring Al Pacino, "The Insider", starring Russell Crow, "Silkwood", starring Meryl Streep, to name a few. "There are many astonishing whistleblower stories. Combining them in a TV Series will expose a clear pattern of retaliation and acts of reprisal, bringing these vital issues to the attention of the viewing audience," said Producer Spice Williams-Crosby.

"Change always starts with creating public awareness. "Whistleblowers - The Untold Stories" will give whistleblowers a voice and a podium to bring their stories to the American public. This, in turn, will prompt the necessary political and legislative changes," said Producer/Director BJ Davis.

Cameras have begun to roll, uncovering the labyrinth of waste, fraud, constitutional and federal abuses perpetrated against concerned citizens who speak out to ensure that the truth is no longer a secret.
