March 3, 2010 (MMD Newswire) -- Dunlap-Stone University's (DSU) President, Dr. Donald Burton, today announced that the private, for-profit Arizona Corporation just completed its most profitable year since it opened in 1995. "We are very pleased with the 2009 results," Dr. Burton said. "However, what I am most excited about is what this shows lies ahead."

"We have many reasons to be pleased as we look to the future," he told staff members. "Our students tell us our online education programs are second to none, and our courses are positioned perfectly to help students worldwide participate in the tremendous growth in global commerce as trade returns to normal. Our nine international trade certifications are now the recognized and accepted global standard for international trade professionals worldwide. Our unique, university-accredited programs are affordable, convenient and attainable via the Internet. We have already begun to see an impressive increase in the number of people wanting to learn the practical side of international trade, to gain the knowledge and learn the tools needed to safely foster the movement of goods and services across national boundaries." Dr. Burton ended his statement with an excerpt from the school's mission statement "We are here and ready to help educate people normally considered too distant or remote to receive a quality U.S. education."

The online university, comprised of its business school, The International Import-Export Institute (IIEI) and the College of Arts and Letters, offers accredited Bachelor Degrees and Associates of Arts Degrees in international trade and business. The IIEI Certification program, the globally recognized certification authority for international trade professionals worldwide, is also part of the school. The school is best known for its practical, international trade focused programs that prepare individuals for careers across a wide range of disciplines ranging from global logistics to global finance to trade regulation compliance and beyond.

The bachelor degree program is a B.Sc. in International Trade Management with three possible emphasis areas: Trade Compliance Management; Global Supply Chain Management; and Management.

The IIEI Certification program, comprised of nine certifications, is recognized in more than 140 nations. In support of the certification program, the IIEI offers a wide range of online courses that help individuals master the knowledge requirements for certifications.

To continue its growth, DSU plans to introduce its new Graduate School in early 2011. Its first offering will be a Master of Business Administration degree.

DSU is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council. DSU programs meet the same rigorous U.S. Department of Education requirements as do other highly-regarded institutions across America. Within the international trade industry, DSU's worldwide reputation speaks for itself. Employees from many U.S. Fortune 500 companies enroll at DSU. All of the top 100 U.S. aerospace and defense companies routinely enroll employees in DSU's courses that prepare them for one of IIEI Certification's nine international trade certifications.
