Marilyn Randall - Author/Illustrator Signs With Xlibris To Publish Her newest Book

Whidbey Island - Washington State (MMD Newswire) February 4, 2010 -- Marilyn Randall, author and illustrator of children's books and the adult poetry book My Heart And Soul, announced today that she has signed with the Xlibris Corporation a publishing company devoted to quality standards in the publishing industry, to publish her newest book, which will be available in print later this spring. Her newest book titled QUICKSAND is a fiction; a story of a senior, interracial couple who have entered into a love relationship after meeting online. It is a powerful book of deeply devoted love, hardships directly affecting interracial couples, family prejudices and cultural differences. She has woven the story beautifully with powerful emotion by inserting her amazing poetry and prose throughout the book. Ms. Randall is fast becoming known for her ability to take us into the emotional issues faced today by a society who still suffers from prejudices and bigotry. She takes us to the heart of these issues as she weaves this story around true to life senior characters beginning their life together in this new and unusual way while facing the problems still suffered in today's society.

Her earlier book, My Heart And Soul , as well as the five previously published children's books she has written and illustrated have been highly successful and she is developing a loyal and devoted following for her work. The titles of her children's books which are available now on her website www.marilynrandall.com are: For Faithful Friends, Best Of Best Friends, Inside Out, A Hard Nut To Crack and Elmer The Christmas Elf. Her newest and sixth children's book, Share From The Heart is due out in April of 2010.

In Her own words, Ms. Randall talks about her newest book with passion for what she has created. "I am a widowed senior and have experienced many of the difficulties the characters in my latest book are faced with so I write from first hand knowledge of the problems many of us are dealing with today. I have been more than disappointed to experience some of the bigotry and prejudices, which today's world is still dealing with. In some respects society has not progressed beyond the humiliating era of the segregation we experienced forty years ago. I hope this story will enlighten some people and help them to have a better understanding of the destruction their attitudes are creating for society as a whole. Anger, temper, love, passion, emotional abuse, lust, compassion, devotion and loyalty are all emotions which are within the readers grasp as they become involved in the issues which the created characters are dealing with in this newest book titled QUICKSAND."

Marilyn Randall continues to write from the comfort of her residence located on the beautiful and serene Whidbey Island, near Seattle in Washington State.
