Malaga, Spain (MMD Newswire) February 2, 2010 -- AT4 wireless today announced that the Continua Health Alliance automated Test Tool has been successfully launched. This Test Tool was developed by AT4 wireless during 2009, and has been approved as the official certification tool by Continua.
At the end of 2008 AT4 wireless was selected by Continua, an open industry group of technology, healthcare and fitness market leader companies, to develop a fully automated Test Tool to be used as part of the Continua Certification Program, and to provide certification testing services for Continua devices utilizing the automated Test Tool.
The Continua Test Tool will allow device manufacturers to assess their conformance to the Continua Design Guidelines and some of the standards and specifications they reference, reducing development efforts. Furthermore, it will reduce each unique device's time to market and is expected to contribute to a faster pace of Continua Certified devices present in the global consumer market.
At no cost, Continua has made this Test Tool available to its members, and Continua device manufacturers can utilize the Certification Test Tool as part of their quality assurance programs. In addition, the tool can be used to help ensure a successful test campaign prior to sending devices to AT4 wireless Laboratory, the official Continua Certification Test Lab.
