Promotion of PPM & PSA Industry Veteran Completes Leadership Transition Plan Following PowerSteering-Tenrox Merger

Cambridge, MA (MMD Newswire) September 6, 2012 -- PowerSteering Software, the leading provider of cloud-based project & portfolio management (PPM) solutions, today announced that Ludwig Melik has been promoted to the role of President. In his new capacity, Mr. Melik will lead the company's strategic direction and oversee all company operations. He will also play an active role in maintaining close relationships with key accounts.

The announcement completes the leadership transition plan that was put in place following the merger of PowerSteering Software and Tenrox earlier this year. Mr. Melik takes over the President position from Stephen Sharp, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities after overseeing the merger and ensuring a smooth integration of the two companies.

"We selected Ludwig for this critical role based on the combination of his experience managing profitable growth and his deep expertise with the project & portfolio management software market," commented Jack McDonald, Chairman and CEO of PowerSteering Software. "With his track record of success in leading sales and business development for Tenrox and, subsequently, PowerSteering, Ludwig possesses a unique level of insight into both the needs of customers and the PPM competitive landscape."

Previous to assuming his new role, Mr. Melik served as Vice President of Sales for PowerSteering, where he directed the Sales, Inside Sales, Solution Consulting, Account Management, Business Development and Partnerships functions. Prior to the merger, Ludwig was the VP of Sales and a partner at Tenrox, where his leadership was a driving force behind Tenrox's 15 year history of consistent annual growth. Ludwig has extensive knowledge of PPM software products and services for supporting business initiatives, and speaks on the subject at conferences, including the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Annual Symposium. He coauthored the first book on Professional Services Automation: "Professional Services Automation: A new approach to managing and optimizing project and service oriented organizations," published by Wiley in 2002.

"The key to our continued momentum is our customer success and product innovation programs, and I fully intend to make both my chief priorities," stated Mr. Melik.
