Post4it.com makes $5000 contribution to Students of California State University Fresno / Craig School of Business Students compete in marketing contest to win cash and a chance to have their ideas seen on local TV campaign.
Clovis, April 30, 2008: On May 1, 2008 the Founder and CEO of Post4it.com will award the winning team of marketing students at CSUF Craig School of Business $3000 in cash, and award the department an additional $2000 to the department. $1,000 to be used for student field trip expenses in Dr. Rice classes, and the remaining $1,000 will be allocated to other student projects or appropriate projects in our five year strategic plan that the department does not have the resources to implement.
Post4it.com contacted the Chair of the department of Marketing and Logistics; Reza Motameni, Ph.D in February 2008 with an idea to offer the students the opportunity to work on a real advertising campaign for our Startup Company and turn the challenge into a contest that would award the students creativity with the thing they could use the most….. CASH!
The Challenge was this: To have CSUF teams develop a kick off marketing campaign that includes TV, print and internet efforts. TV will be weighted at 75%. Actual filmed commercials (30 second spots) will be required.
The Procedure:
o Divide the class into teams of five members. Teams will meet with the CEO, Tim Morrow every two weeks to provide further insight to team members and assist as needed in the final product.
o Teams will be judged by a panel of judges consisting of company owners, investors, local business owners, and school administrators.
Award:
o The team with the winning concept will receive a cash award of $3000, or $600 per member.
Deadline:
o Post4it.com plans to launch its advertising campaign and rollout the company to the public by June 1, 2008
Cost: AS STATED, THIS COMPANY IS A STARTUP COMPANY AND WILL SPEND APPROXIMATELY 75% OF ITS ENTIRE STARTUP BUDGET ON THIS CAMPAIGN. THE INITIAL BUDGET FOR THIS PROJECT IS $150K
The team will be judged this Thursday, May 1st in Dr. Rice’s Class at the Craig School of Business CSUF between 12:00 and 2:00 PM
We would like to invite all Media sources to participate in this process and help us honor the students of CSUF as they get some PRE-GRADUATE experience, and get paid for doing it!
