Captioning programs have been around for a while and most of these are typically 'paint' type programs where the text is inserted as a graphic directly into the photo. My Personal Photo Kiosk uses an entirely different approach by allowing the user to enter all the information and then select options to determine the final look of the image. The final image is generated as a copy of the original leaving the original photo file untouched.
There are text fields for names, title and notes - and these can be edited at anytime and changes instantly reflected in the output of the image. Options are then selected for print size (from a list of standard print sizes); orientation; border inclusion; location of the caption (left, right, top, bottom or none); style and size of the text; the items to include in the caption; zooming and panning the image. As each option is selected, its effect is displayed instantly on the screen.
My Personal Photo Kiosk also has a unique face numbering system to easily identify individuals in group photos - no more guessing who is who!
Lengthy notes can be attached to a photo and used to give the background to the story or of the event or person in it. For those who don't have My Personal Photo Kiosk, there is a free viewer for reading the notes whilst viewing the photo. The electronic card just got easier!
And once information is entered, My Personal Photo Kiosk can search using any keyword or phrase. Finding all the photos of little Freddie's birthday is a snap! The search lists can be saved for later and even the photos found in a search can be copied to another location - just in case you want to print out all of little Freddie's birthday photos.
My Personal Photo Kiosk is designed for the computer novice but has enough flexibility to encourage the imagination of more experienced users. Examples can be viewed in the Photo Gallery at its web site.
Originally developed because of an interest in genealogy by the founder, My Personal Photo Kiosk is useful for anyone who uses a digital camera or scanner. To find out more, visit www.mypersonalphotokiosk.com.
