New Ostomy Pouch Improves the Lives of Colostomates and Ileostomates

How it Works:  
The system is accessed through an inlet opening on the top of the pouch – to which a water source is attached.  The person sits on the toilet, directs the pouch drain into the bowl and opens it.  The water valve trigger is pressed and a special manifold in the bag creates water turbulence that washes away waste and cleans the stoma area.  Gentle rubbing on the bag exterior in the area surrounding the stoma assures total cleansing.
