Fans invite King Kahn to come to China

As his time with Bayern Munich is drawing to a close, the world’s longtime best goalkeeper, Oliver Kahn, is looking for new challenges. What really interests the German soccer star is the future of soccer. Therefore he is on a quest to look for new goalkeeper talent all over Asia – especially in China. He says that he is convinced that in a country as big as China there is a lot of goalkeeper talent waiting to be discovered. This is why he is coming to see for himself. Chinese fans invited him to come to China – so he does, on October 13th and 14th !

A highlight during Kahn’s visit will be the practice session for 10 talented goalkeepers. This will take place on October 14th at 9 a.m. at Tongji University, Shanghai. Surely an event not to be missed for soccer fans! On his new Chinese website, www.kingkahn.cn , Oliver Kahn currently invites aspiring goalkeepers all over China to send in a short video of their skills. The 5 best participants of this online video competition together with 5 participants selected by other universities and soccer clubs in Shanghai get to practice with Oliver Kahn personally, on October 14th. The winner of this session even gets invited to Munich! Prior to his visit, there soccer fans can already enjoy Oliver Kahn’s daily column on SOHU, China’s largest sports portal.
