June 23, 2006 -- The National Oil Shale Association (NOSA) is pleased that the President has identified America’s oil shale resources as an important part of the solution to our nation’s energy supply challenges.

America’s more than 2 trillion barrels of oil shale resources are a secure domestic resource that can be developed in an environmentally responsible manner to increase domestic transportation fuel supplies and reduce America’s oil imports.  Developing this resource is seen as important to the nation’s economic and national security.

NOSA is pleased to provide information about oil shale resources, technologies, development challenges and issues. Our website www.oilshaleassoc.org   provides fact sheets and basic information about our nation’s oil shale resources.  It also provides links to other relevant resources prepared by:
