OC AEROSPACE MANAGER QUITS AND BECOMES A SUCCESSFUL ARTIST CREATING "MULTIFUNCTIONALISM"

In March 2004, Jerry Clovis left his career in Aerospace because he wanted to do something different with his life. In June 2004, he bought his first paints and paint brushes. Within 6 weeks, his art was on display in a local gallery. Paintings began to sell and the snow ball began to roll.

Since that time Jerry Clovis has been the featured speaker to the Museum Council at the Orange County Museum of Art. His art has been purchased by designers, galleries, five star resorts and numerous collectors from coast to coast. Jerry Clovis art was also selected by the City Of Baldwin Park to featured on a bill board advertising their 2006 Summer Concert In The Park series. Jerry Clovis Art can be seen on long term display in Key West Gallery, Key West Florida, Sunset Gallery, San Clemente California, Avantgarden in Santa Ana California, and Pierside Gallery in Huntington Beach California.

Mark Bathen, artist and owner of Sunset Gallery says; “His art has new century look to it. Brush strokes are long and uninterrupted. Colors and shapes are contrasted creating powerful and highly recognizable paintings. And on top of that, Clovis intends to be a historic art innovator, creating new styles, new techniques and new movements that haven’t been seen before. Based on what I’ve seen so far, Clovis will probably end up in the art history books.

Jerry Clovis is now introducing the world to “Multifuctionalism”. Multifunctionalism is where a two demensional form is so abstract in representation, that the form may play multiple rolls (or have multiple functions) at the same time. Sometimes a single item/form can actually have four functions/rolls or more. Examples of Multifunctionalism can be found in the Music Pieces and Animal Pieces at www.JerryClovis.com .  Clovis is currently developing 3 additional art innovations including, Variationism, Mutualism, and Linkism.

There will be an opening and reception at the Sunset Gallery in San Clemente, California on Saturday, April 21st from 6 pm to 10 pm. The Sunset Gallery is located at 538 N El Camino Real in San Clemente.
