November 27, 2007 -- Yuba City, California -- The new Northside Fitness is moving into the Miladi Fitness Group Building at 680 North Walton Avenue in what is part of major development shake-up in Yuba City.  This project, spearheaded by local developer Jeff Helm of Aztec Realty, will involve the relocation of Northside Fitness into the Miladi building as the new anchor tenant while other tenants expected to join them are a large physical therapy center, tanning salon and large children’s recreation center.  The Miladi Fitness Group will move their headquarters to 950 Tharp Road Bldg 1200 in Yuba City, CA and will focus their efforts on a center for karate and ballet.

The key player in this project, Northside Fitness, was formerly known as Northside Athletic Club and is currently located at 1747 Live Oak Boulevard in Yuba City.  Northside Fitness was looking to relocate to a larger modernized space where they could add some innovative fitness amenities. A few of their unique amenities will be a “cardio dark-room theater” where people exercise in the privacy of a darkened room filled with plasma TV entertainment and also circuit training areas for women to exercise in a private environment. 

“We needed a change of address in order to provide these new fitness services.  Alex’s (Alex Miladi) gorgeous wellness complex was a perfect fit.  Having a place next door to the club where the kids can work out in a safe environment was also important to us” stated club owner April Helm.

Northside Fitness is planning their move into the Miladi Group building in early December and are currently offering major discounts for all people who sign up as Charter Members.  “We want to be known as having the areas best workout environment, while still offering the best service and prices around.  That is what community fitness is all about” explained the club’s Member Services Director, Amber King.

The club is being redesigned by Health Club Development Co. from Providence, RI and built by Aztec Realty.
