FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Newly Launched Website Engages People with Hundreds of Worthy Causes
Site provides inspiration and access for people to give and get assistance, kindness, tolerance, compassion, and goodness from a multitude of resources.
LAKE VILLA, ILL -- May 16, 2006 -- Maybe solving the world's problems isn't easy; but Ken Ferrara believes pointing out the direction to a solution is. "The solution is us -- all six billion of us -- and I aim to show people how they can get involved in making the world a better place," said Ferrara, an Illinois man who is dedicated to positive networking through his new Web site, backtogood.org . "Backtogood.org is a not-for-profit site whose name means what it says. We've got to get back to doing good," Ferrara said. "We can complain all we want about the environment, poverty, hunger, health, and the state of our world today, but many of those problems start with people, and many can be solved by people," Ferrara said. "The idea behind backtogood.org is to inspire, engage and connect people who realize they can be the solution, with organizations that are already up and running, with proven track records at tackling life's problems." Visitors to backtogood.org will find scores of inspirational messages as well as links to charities, organizations and movements that are dedicated to the common good, and have one thing in common: they want to help.
Backtogood.org includes links to sites dedicated to everything from animal rights to environmental issues to improving education and individual health. It includes sections for children and their parents, crisis hotlines and links to special needs foundations. "It's our job at backtogood.org to become a bull's eye for those folks who will learn they can connect to someone interested in solving their problem or, better yet, by helping them solve a problem near and dear to their heart and those they love," Ferrara said. Perhaps best of all, backtogood.org doesn't put limits on how someone can give something good to the world. Its links include charities, but visitors to the site will find countless ways they can give of their time, in a material manner or spiritually as well. "We don't concern ourselves with what you want to give or how you want to give it. We just want to help you share it -- to get back to doing the good that is in your heart, that you want to share," Ferrara said. "That means there are at least six billion potential solutions to any one problem. And I'll take those odds any day." Contact: For more information, visit backtogood.org .
