New Travel Book Series Focuses on Needs of Casual Walkers and Disabled Tourists

Author Donald H. Bowling presents an alternate tour of Venice, Italy in Venice: Easy Sightseeing

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- October 23, 2008 -- Venice: Easy Sightseeing by Donald H. Bowling is the first in the author’s series of travel guidebooks which provide information that will encourage middle-aged, elderly baby boomers and disabled travelers in wheelchairs to visit Italy.

In Venice: Easy Sightseeing, Bowling, having already surveyed each stop on the tour, offers easy access to more than 70 sights. Each sight guide seeks to identify potential physical barriers and offer solutions – for instance, readers can discover that they can bypass a difficult set of stairs by following Bowling’s directions to a nearby elevator, or find a more wheelchair-accessible restroom in the building next door.

The guides are also filled with factual information about the artistic or religious nature of each sight, and additional text supplies information on how readers can be their own travel agents by utilizing various Internet websites before they leave home.

Bowling’s Venice: Easy Sightseeing attempts to make traveling a more enjoyable experience by allowing readers to focus their attention and energy on sightseeing rather than searching for information on how to get around.
