ST. LOUIS, MO -- Truth Equals Justice, a new book by Catholic priest William L. Forst, is an account of his journeys through priesthood and his struggles to gain acceptance from the church.
 
According to Forst, the church does not care for priests that think for themselves. “We are bound to obedience,” he says, noting that he believes this keeps the church from to moving forward or reforming. As a former leader, Forst tells the story of how he picked up a co-dependence habit and gradually learned to shed its addiction. At the same time, Forst asserts that he is hopeful that the church will eventually change its present leadership style to be a servant-leader as advocated by Jesus.

William L. Forst grew up in St. Louis where he was exposed to the church as a young boy, being taught in school by Catholic nuns. He later became an ordained priest and held various leadership roles in the ministry. At the age of 80, he is currently retired and living in St. Louis.
