LET THE EAGLE FLY: A New Anthem for Auburn Fans
March 25, 2008

When Rev. Bubba D. Liverance & the Cornhole Prophets recorded their Rock ‘n Soul album “Let My Peoples Dance”, they included an original song for Auburn fans “Let The Eagle Fly”, even against the advice of label execs and management.  The song, inspired by the release of the eagle before each home football game, was written to reflect the Auburn spirit.

“As enthusiastic as we are about music, our band is equally excited about college football, especially here in our hometown of Auburn”, expressed Rev. Bubba. “When the eagle soars around the stadium, there’s hair standing up, lumps in throats, and a tear in the eye of nearly 90,000 fans. We were compelled to include the song on our record to pay homage to this great tradition”.

A video of Let the Eagle Fly has been circulating the Auburn nation receiving more than 20,000 views on “You Tube” and the band’s website www.revbubbaband.com in the first week.  Rev. Bubba has been in contact with the Auburn Raptor Center and will be donating 100% of sales and downloads of the song to benefit the Raptor program.

The album is a throwback to the golden age of 60’s and 70’s music, receiving great reviews and is creating quite a stir along the east coast with Carolina Beach Music fans and Rhythm and Blues DJ’s.  According to the good Reverend, “We did the album purely for fun. If it also benefits the Raptor Center and Auburn University, that’s a bonus we’re proud of”.
